Digital BlackJack at Harrahs in Cherokee, NC

Digital Blackjack seems to be taking hold on casinos across the United States. To stay on top of current trends, many casinos now offer an option to play Digital Blackjack. Not all casinos offer the new technologically advanced version of Black Jack. Harrah’s Casino in Cherokee North Carolina was one of the first casinos to offer Digital Black Jack. Some people are a bit skeptical about playing Digital Black Jack for the first time, finding technology a bit intimidating.

Like regular Blackjack, the goal of Digital Blackjack remains to trump the hand of the dealer, getting as close to 21 as possible without going over. Each player has their own computerized Blackjack board with cards. Set up for the game occurs as usual with physical or real chips, the pit boss and dealer. Each player has their own computerized screen that shows the dealer’s cards in the upper left hand, the player to your right cards in the lower corner and the individual players cards in the middle. After the dealer pushes his automatic button and deals the first 2 cards, each player then decides whether to stand or hit. The game then proceeds as usual, with the dealer giving digital cards as required by each player. The rules of Digitized Blackjack are similar to typical Las Vegas rules. The only major change involves cards being displayed on your computer board.

Will the time arrive when Digitized Blackjack is completely digitized? Would you design your own simulation or simply play against the computer? Right now there are more questions than answers with the drastic changes to the game. Who knows the future of Digital Black Jack? Chances are, the computer, like the real live dealer will usually hold the winning hand. From personal experience at Harrahs, I can tell you Digital Blackjack is addictive and here to stay!
